La Gare - The Luxury Holiday Destination

The three bedroom former railwayman's cottage has been lovingly renovated and extended over the last 10 years - initially as a family home for ourselves and visiting family and friends, but now available for Holiday lets. It is set in its own extensive gardens with quiet seating areas, a large play area with swings, hammock etc, large lawn area, patio, shaded areas as well as the pool  to swim in or relax next to, and the fabulous outdoor kitchen. It can be somewhere to just relax and enjoy, or as a base to explore the Vendee, its forests, rivers, history, markets, golf, cities - we could go on, or you can contact us to discuss the possibilities to make your stay that little bit special - whether that includes us sorting out activities, preparing meals for you, booking excursions - in the end making your stay as hassle free as possible. We want your holiday to be something you remember, for all the right reasons, not one you might forget.

Brand new for 2016, we upgraded the large gardens to include a new outdoor 8m x 4m heated swimming pool, with surrounding luxurious, fully equipped, outdoor kitchen and dining areas. Outdoor living has never felt so good !

Over the years we have also discovered the Mervant forest and the Marais (green Venice) to walk, cycle and canoe, as well as the local Abbeys and historical towns and villages to wander around. What more can we say, you just have to come visit !
